I’m on the Wall Street Journal Blog!

And a bunch of people really, really, don’t like me. I’d love to say I don’t care, but my tattooed skin isn’t quite that thick. I will say though, that most of what they’ve had to say doesn’t matter to me. Nickel Plated has reviewed quite well so far, Booklist and an upcoming celebrity review being the most outstanding, but a few of these comments cut a little. Despite what some might say, I am published, and my editor loves this book, as do I.

It’s not that anyone doesn’t like you. Many commentators didn’t like what you SAID. Some people won’t even like what you wrote (it’s inevitable, no matter what the book or author). But that doesn’t mean people dislike you personally.

I think some of those people feel a little more strongly about me than that, but for the majority you’re probably right.

I think a lot of it was just a misunderstanding anyways, I wasn’t trying to tell people how to write, I was just explaining my approach to a project. A lot of the responses seemed to think I was attempting to redefine the genre.
